Welcome to my Viraly review.
I've been avoiding writing this review for too long. But it's probably not for the reason you think.
Here's why:
I was one of the earliest users of the tool. I've been providing feedback and making suggestions.
Both co-founders have been amazingly receptive to my suggestions and they implemented most of my crazy “wish list” of features faster than most brands take to fix a couple of simple bugs.
And I'm not talking about small features. One was an entire bio link tool.
Let's just say that they know what they're doing.
More features are on their roadmap but I can't put off this review any longer. Now is the time.
Below, I'll share my no-holds-barred opinions on the platform, core features, pricing, and everything else you need to know.
What is Viraly?
Viraly is a cloud based social media management tool designed to help you:
- Plan, schedule, and publish posts across popular social networks from a single dashboard.
- Monitor engagement and performance with built-in analytics.
- Build a custom link in bio page.
- Recycle evergreen content and automate routine tasks.
- Collaborate with teams and manage multiple brands.
Unlike many basic schedulers, Viraly combines post scheduling, analytics, team collaboration, and growth focused tools into one very clean and crisp dashboard.
That's the cliff notes out of the way. But with Viraly, the difference is in how these features are delivered. For example, the content recycling feature is unique in its implementation. I'll explain why in a moment.
And the UI? It's extremely good. The same can be said for the price. I'll cover all these points (and more) in detail later in this review.
For now, let's take a look at some of Viraly's core features.
What features does Viraly offer?
Post scheduling and publishing
This is the core of what Viraly is all about. Scheduling posts. Fast and easy.
Most popular networks are supported. So, you can share to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, X, Bluesky, and more from one dashboard. No more juggling different apps.
They even support Mastodon. Not many other tools do.
Once you've connected your social accounts, you can create a post from the calendar (which I'll talk more about in a moment) or from several other convenient locations in the interface.
Next, you'll see this post composer window:
Select the networks you'd like to share to, upload your photo/video, enter some text and you're good to go.
For certain networks you'll see some extra features. For example, you can schedule first comments and threads for supported platforms (e.g. X, Threads, etc.)
There's even a convenient link to media guidelines for each platform within the post composer. So, you'll know the max video size/resolution the next time you post. Or the max photo size/resolution.
There is a media library as well. So, when you've got a bunch of photos/videos to schedule, you can upload them in bulk by going to the media library first. Then, add the media from within the post composer. Or just upload them one-by-one as you schedule content. Content uploads pretty fast!
For some networks, you'll benefit from adding hashtags to your post. Creating hashtag lists will speed up this process. There's a separate section in the UI where you can create these lists.
You can then use your hashtag lists whilst in the post composer. If you've started composing a post and don't have a hashtag list yet, you can create one there as well. All nice and convenient.
You also have the option to select a category for your post. There are some pre-defined options here but you can customize these in your account settings. They're a nice option to help you filter posts in your calendar. More on the calendar in a moment.
Once you're ready to schedule your post, you have a few different options for publishing. You can schedule it now, at a specific time, or add it to a post queue to go out at a pre-determined time.
There's also a content recycling feature. I'll talk about that in more detail in a moment.
Drag & drop social media calendar
As you'd expect, there's a social media calendar to help you visualise all of your scheduled content.
It's full drag & drop. It was one of the features on my wishlist and I'm so glad they added it. Most tools don't bother making their calendars drag & drop but for the people actually using the tool it makes such a difference.
You have a bunch of filtering options and view options. You can switch between week/month views, timezones, and more.
I mentioned categories earlier and this is where they become the most useful. For example, if you've got a lot of educational content but very few entertaining posts, you'll be able to see that here.
You can also view posts based on status. For example, you can view drafts, scheduled posts, published posts, failed posts, etc.
Or if you don't like to view posts as a calendar, you can view it as a list instead.
Content recycling
Ok, I touched upon this earlier but it's important to mention this in detail because it's an extremely useful feature which is rare to see in social media tools. And even rarer is how Viraly has implemented this feature.
When you're creating a new post, you get the option to recycle the content.
From here, you can choose how often to reshare your post and how many times you want to reshare it.
Not only is this great for evergreen content. It's also perfect for event related campaigns.
Now, some tools offer content recycling but the key differentiator here is that Viraly allows you to add variations to the posts you choose to reshare.
You can do this manually or with the help of AI.
What happens when you want to view your recycled content? That's where a lot of social media tools fall flat on their face.
But with Viraly you can easily search through your recycled content to get an idea of what's going out and how often, etc. This can be accessed by going to Post Scheduler → Content Recycling.
Another neat touch is how these posts are labelled in the calendar. Source posts have their own little icon to identify them, and so do the recycled posts.
Idea board
Short on inspiration? Viraly helps get inspiration and stay inspired.
This tool includes a kanban-style idea board for you to record ideas with an AI tool for generating ideas.
You can add multiple boards. So, if you want to keep track of ideas for specific platforms or organize ideas by quarter. You can.
There's also a library of “fill-in-the-blanks” post templates you can use to help you craft post ideas.
You can also add RSS feeds and organize them into folders (collections).
The idea here is to find blogs/publications and add RSS feeds so you can use their content as inspiration for your next post. There's an explore option which gives you some quick popular options to add.
Once you've added a bunch of RSS feeds, just scroll through them when you need some inspiration.
As you hover, you'll see the option to create a post or save the idea. For link-based posts on platforms like Threads/X, this is pretty useful because you can open up the post composer with pre-populated content fast. Then, just add some commentary, and you're done!
I didn't clock onto this at first but you can definitely use Viraly as an alternative to standard RSS feed readers.
Analytics and reporting
There's a full suite of analytics and reporting tools. You can dig into engagement metrics, view audience behaviour, etc.
The idea here is to find what's working for your content and what isn't. Then double down on what's working.
You can filter by platform, date, and even export your analytics should you need to.
I love that analytics are available for all platforms that Viraly's scheduler supports. Quite a few tools seem to only offer analytics for a handful of platforms. That's no issue here.
Just be aware that the analytics data you get is limited based on the API functionality provided by each social media platform. The data from platforms like Instagram and Facebook is much richer than that of Mastodon, for example. That's not a Viraly issue though.
AI assistance
Need help writing captions for your social media content? AI functionality is available at your fingertips.
Just tell the AI what you want the post to be about, select the tone of voice, and you're good to go. Don't like what it generates? Tweak your prompt and go again.
Bio link tool
In case you're new to this, I'll explain how the concept works:
Some social networks don't allow clickable links in posts. Instagram is the main example.
Instead of using your bio link to send people to your website's homepage, where they might get distracted, you use a mobile-friendly landing page created specifically for social media visitors (mainly Instagram users). This bio link page works like a simple menu that highlights the links, products, or content you want people to see so you can guide them exactly where you want them to go.
Here's a simple example I created with Viraly in a few minutes:
The example above is a button-based bio link page. But there is also another option; the grid.
The idea is that you replicate your Instagram feed but with clickable links for each post.
So, people see the photo/video in your feed, go to your bio link and look for that same photo/video. Then they find your clickable link.
Sure, it'd be simpler if Instagram allowed clickable links in posts. But they don't. And this is the next best option.
The reason why I'm explaining both of these types of bio link pages is because Viraly offers a hybrid approach which allows you to combine both types into a single page.
You can customize how this page is branded, auto-add social media posts, dynamically add content from RSS feeds, and even connect with email providers to build your email list. This includes Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, and more.
There are also integrations available for Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and more.
Now, bio link tools are hugely popular and as such there are plenty of dedicated tools out there. But after testing a lot of them, I can tell you that Viraly's tool can beat most (if not all of them). And for a lot cheaper.
You can even build a bio link page on Viraly's free plan.
I've got to say. I wasn't expecting this feature to be as good as it is. But they nailed it.
Team collaboration
Viraly's team collaboration functionality is extremely flexible. Just invite a team member and select the permissions you want to give them.
Then use approval workflows to make sure nothing goes live without your review.
This is perfect for agencies and in-house teams.
Viraly pricing and plans
You'll be happy to know that Viraly does in fact offer a free forever plan. Not many social media tools do.
It's fairly limited as you'd expect but a lot of features are available on that plan which is awesome.
In particular, I love that they included a basic version of their bio link tool. Which is excellent, by the way!
This is great because you can sign up for a free plan and use it as long as you like. Then just upgrade to a paid plan once you've gotten a good feel for the platform.
So, no need for credit card details. No rush to test the platform before a trial expires. And there's also a full 30-day money-back guarantee. Sounds good, right?
Here's a breakdown of their pricing tiers:
| Plan | Price | Social Profiles | Posts per Month | Best For |
| Free | 0 dollars | 3 | 10 | Individuals and new users |
| Influencer | About 19 dollars per month | 5 | 200 | Creators and small accounts |
| Business | About 49 dollars per month | 15 | 500 | Growing brands |
| Agency | About 99 dollars per month | 50 | Unlimited | Large teams and agencies |
Features do change and so does pricing from time to time, so I'd recommend reading the pricing page on their website for a full breakdown.
Viraly user reviews and reputation
A lot of brands don't care what customers think. Well, they like to make it appear like they do but when it comes down to it? They really don't.
My experience with Viraly has been different. They care about the tool and they care about their customers.
The fact that they implemented so many customer feature requests so far proves that. They've super receptive. Well, providing the ideas are good ones, that is.
Now, I know what I think but I also checked out Trustpilot to see what other customers think and they've got a lot of positive feedback already. Plenty of five star reviews.
When I read through, I noticed that generally;
- Users praise its ease of use and quick learning curve.
- Customer support is mentioned a lot. Specifically how fast they reply and how helpful they are.
- Agencies and multi account managers appreciate how well Viraly organizes multiple brands.
- Many users note that the tool saves hours of work every week.
The consistent theme in reviews is that Viraly is intuitive, efficient, and reliable.
And this all aligns very much with my own personal experience.
Viraly pros and cons
What we like
Strong core functionality
Viraly covers everything you need for social scheduling and analytics in one place which eliminates the need for multiple tools.
Great UI and easy to use
A lot of thought has gone into developing Viraly's UI. That is very clear. It's crisp, modern, and easy to find your way around.
Insanely powerful content recycling
Time slots and content recycling are separate. Content recycling is amazing. It allows you to reshare your evergreen content. You select how often you want the content to be reshared, how many times you want it to be reshared, and set up post variations. You can add post variations manually or generate them with AI based on your initial post.
This is particularly good because most tools that offer content recycling (not many do) don't allow post variations for reshares. On a per network basis, sure, but not for reshares.
Excellent support and responsiveness
From personal experience I can say that support is excellent. Even technical issues are resolved fast. Third-party reviews all seem to say the same thing.
Pro-active support
Viraly has a very robust error logging system. Whenever I've reported a bug, their team has either already deployed a fix or they're already working on it. Why don't other SaaS apps do this?
Competitive pricing
There's a free plan. Yay! Most tools don't offer this so it's nice that Viraly have done it. Paid plans are pretty affordable and it's even competitive for agencies. Compared to some legacy brands, Viraly is WAY more affordable.
Amazing bio link tool
A lot of thought went into this tool. I tried it when it was first released and they nailed it. Out of the gate, it beats most other bio link tools I've tried.
Built-in team collaboration tools
Viraly supports team workflows and approvals which is uncommon among lower priced tools.
Analytics for all platforms
Some social media tools only offer analytics for a limited range of platforms. For example, if they offer scheduling, they won't always offer analytics. Viraly is different. You'll find analytics for every platform they offer scheduling for. And the analytics they offer are pretty advanced!
What could be better?
Posting schedules could be easier to find
The content recycling feature is very easy to find but I have found the post schedules a little less obvious. Still, I'd imagine this would improve in future updates.
No social inbox (yet)
I know this feature is coming but it isn't here yet. Well, not at the time of writing. When it drops, I'll be providing feedback but if it's anything like the quality of their bio link tool, they'll nail it right out of the gate.
Newer platform
Since Viraly is still growing, expect to see some minor tweaks to the UI. Those I have encountered haven't caused me any issues but it's worth mentioning so you don't get a surprise when things change. That said, I've only encountered positive changes to the platform.
Verdict: Should you use Viraly?
Ok, let's wrap up this Viraly review:
I have high expectations when it comes to social media tools. And Viraly continues to go beyond my expectations.
For example, their team is extremely pro-active. They like to fix bugs fast and not leave them linger like some other SaaS brands.
On the rare occasions I've encountered a bug and reported it to support, they are either aware of it and working on a fix already or they've already pushed the fix live.
And they continue to push out new features & improve existing functionality.
Now, the social media space is littered with legacy SaaS brands that have been coasting on their past success with minimal feature improvements.
But Viraly, in my humble opinion, is so good that those legacy brands need to watch the hell out! Seriously.
The UI, core functionality, and even niche features like the bio link tool are far beyond a lot of legacy brands that I won't name.
Pricing is better than most as well.
For example, I took Viraly's $99/month plan which includes 15 team member accounts and ran the numbers to see how much it would cost for that amount of team members at Sprout Social.
Almost $3K and that's for only 5 social profiles. Viraly gives you 50 and unlimited social sets so you can divide them up how you like.
That's insane.
But is Viraly right for you? That depends on your needs.
Yes, especially if:
- You manage multiple social platforms and want to centralize everything.
- You are a creator or small business looking for affordable and powerful scheduling tools.
- You want a feature-rich tool that won't break the bank.
- You want built in analytics and collaboration features without enterprise level pricing.
Maybe not if:
- You need highly advanced enterprise reporting or AI strategy automation.
- Your workflow depends on features that Viraly has not added yet.
Overall, Viraly is an easy to use and efficient alternative to traditional social media management tools. It offers a balanced mix of simplicity, functionality, and affordable pricing for modern creators, businesses, and teams.
